Training Grants
14th December 2011
Grants are available, through Business Gateway and Skills Development Scotland, to help Scottish businesses invest in training opportunities for staff.
The grant is aimed at projects which will increase productivity in the workplace and that are in line with your business requirements, but can’t be statutory or legislative, such as health and safety or first aid training.
The grant will cover 50% of the cost of training up to £500 per episode, with a limit of 10 episodes per company. This means that if a business incurs a training cost of £1,200, excluding VAT, for an episode of training, a grant of £500 is receivable. If the training cost was £300, a grant of £150 would be receivable.
We have been successful in securing grant funding for several clients who required training in the use, or implementation, of computerised accounting systems, reducing the financial costs of these programs to them.
Should you wish to discuss your current records, training options, or the implementation of new systems, please contact either Lynne Vaughan in Dundee on 01382 312140 or Scott Kennedy in Forfar on 01307 474274. Alternatively please e-mail info@amberaccounting.co.uk.
