From 1 April 2010, all businesses with VAT-exclusive turnover of £100,000 or more for the year ended 31 December 2009 must submit VAT returns online and pay electronically.

If you registered for VAT on or after 1 April 2010, you must submit VAT returns online and pay electronically.

From 1 April 2012, online returns and electronic payments apply to all VAT registered businesses.
