The registration threshold for VAT rises from £70,000 to £73,000 from 1 April 2011.

The deregistration threshold rises from £68,000 to £71,000 on the same date.

No changes apply to the Annual Accounting Scheme, Cash Accounting Scheme or Flat -rate Scheme for small businesses. We would ask you to ensure that your business still qualifies for the Scheme it has joined and applies the appropriate rules and rates to the VAT calculations.
